Chungcheongnam-do and Gyeryong-si – AROKA Sign MOU Agreement for the Success of ‘KADEX 2024’ (April 25)
At Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Office, Governor Kim Tae-heum and Mayor Lee Eung-woo of Gyeryong-si, along with AROKA President Kwon Oh-sung, signed a MOU agreement aimed at establishing and successfully hosting KADEX at Gyeryongdae and enhancing the status of Chungcheongnam as a ‘defense capital.’ Chungcheongnam-do and Gyeryong-si will support exhibition promotion and infrastructure development.
Ministry of National Defense – Army Headquarters – AROKA – Local Government ‘KADEX 2024’ Cooperation Meeting (March 19)
Chungcheongnam-do (Defense Cooperation Team Leader), Gyeryong-si (Director of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Department), Army Headquarters (Ground Forces Festival Planning Team Chief), Army Headquarters (Defense Cooperation Support Department Chief), Gyeryongdae Duty Support Unit (Facilities Chief), and others conducted a cooperation meeting to discuss the development of strategies towards evolving KADEX into a key platform that promotes the advancement of the defense industry business.
AROKA – ROK Army, 1st Meeting for ‘KADEX 2024’ Held
The Association of the Republic of Korea Army (AROKA) and the Republic of Korea Army (ROKA) held the 1st cooperation meeting regarding the advancement of KADEX. Discussions were focused on exhibition strategies that can expand defense industry development and defense exports.
KADEX 2024 Receives Endorsement from Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA)
Following approval from the Ministry of National Defense and the Republic of Korea Army, endorsement from the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) has been secured. Discussions encompassed various aspects including increasing defense exports and fostering the defense industry. As a result, ‘KADEX’ has been designated as the Republic of Korea’s sole ground force defense exhibition, representing K-defense.
Briefing on 『KADEX 2024』 for Defense Attaché Held (3.14)
The AROKA successfully held a briefing session for ‘KADEX 2024’ with the participation of over 40 representatives from 30 countries, reflecting high interest in KADEX. This marked the largest attendance in the history of defense attaché meetings. The briefing aimed to address any confusion between KADEX and DX KOREA and shared updates on the preparations for the event at Gyeryongdae.

Strategically located at the headquarters of the Republic of Korea’s three armed forces (Army, Navy, Air Force), facilitating the participation of key military personnel. Major military facilities and defense research institutions are all situated within a 30-minute radius. Amidst the hosting of the Air Force-centric defense exhibition “ADEX” at Seoul Airport and the Navy-centric “MADEX” in Busan, the land forces defense exhibition “KADEX” will take place at Gyeryongdae, home to the Army Headquarters
The Republic of Korea Army Headquarters approves official sponsorship for 『KADEX 2024』
The Republic of Korea Army has decided to support ‘KADEX 2024’ after thorough review on the subjects of the Army’s sponsorship. Following the endorsement from the MOD, the sponsorship by the Army contributes to the execution of this nationally significant event. With invitations extended to military decision-makers from over 50 countries, ‘KADEX 2024’ is poised to become the largest-ever defense exhibition in its history.

The AROKA (Association of the Republic of Korea Army) attended a meeting of defense companies in Korea and Japan hosted by the Korea Defense Diplomacy Association to explain the direction of KADEX 2024 (Korea Army International Defense Industry Exhibition), which will be held under a new name from 2024, and discuss cooperation plans.
